Sophia sighed as she closed her locker; it was different without Ayanna there. People would still stare at her and Ming, wanting to ask questions, but never would. She also went out her way to avoid Riley. Things were very weird between them, looming stares with no conversation. Cindy didn't seem to notice, which of course. She was waiting for Ming when Frances walked up to her. Sophia found herself ready to fight, the crowd already started to linger in the hall. Frances was on mute ever since she got back. Daphne and Stacey were still out on leave and there was no telling when they were coming back.

"You're going to tell me what happened," Frances said firmly.

"Why? Your sister still can't talk? Huey told me what happened, even down to what he did. This shit right here? This is all on you and your inability to keep that beef between you and Huey. What did Ayanna have to do with it? What I have to do with it? Bitch if you want to run it, come on."

"First of all girl, who are you trying to get loud on?" Frances got in her face. She thought this scared her? Sophia use to get beat up by my own cousin almost every other day, this is nothing to her. Looking back, she did tell her that it would make her tougher…guess she was right.

"I'm getting loud with you," Sophia said, "Don't get embarrassed like your sister." She warned. Frances was not about to have some creep white bitch show her up in the hallway, and then she was younger than her. Her emotions were all over the place. Daphne and Stacey would need veneers to replace the teeth they lost in the assault, and both were currently unable to talk still. Stacey suffered a mild concussion and now has painful migraines, something she may have for the rest of her life. Both respective mothers were currently pressing to have Ayanna jailed on top of her getting expelled, but her parents were fighting that. Students were being interrogated, including herself. The incident with them cutting her hair was brought up, so now they had a case of self defense.

Frances felt guilty, very guilty. She hated that no matter how mad Sophia made her, she was right. That bothered her. She didn't want her own people to get hurt, that wasn't a part of the plan. They hadn't anticipated Ayanna to snap off like that.

"Ladies, everything okay?" Sophia turned her sights on Caesar. She hated looking at this scumbag.

"None at all." Frances turned around and left, leaving the pair alone.

"Sophia, can we talk?" Caesar asked, making her roll her eyes as she began walking.

"No we can't." she answered flatly.

"Hey now, look, I want to apologize."

"We both know that's a lie, or you don't want to for the best reasons. You probably only want to get back in Huey's good graces, and because he's smart, that won't be anytime soon."

Caesar held her hand and pulled her close to his side,

"You hurt me Sophia, you've gotten so feisty. Guess all that abuse Riley and Cindy put you through made you really tough."

"Touch me again, and you'll be joining Daphne and Stacey in being toothless. Better yet, I'll send you where the animals you killed went."

That comment made Caesar stop dead in his tracks, making her smirk before going to class. When she walked in, she mentally cursed. Soaring high with victory only to see Riley sit beside the desk she normally sat in. Should she still go to that seat? He never sat near where she did normally. Their whole vibe was currently out of whack. She felt herself go to the desk. Its fine, he'll ignore her like has been doing.

She doesn't know why he's upset about this. What was going on between him and Cindy? Yes, he told her about his suspicions about Gambino, but he had no proof Cindy was…cheating. That's the word. Cheating, their relationship started off rocky, but that had nothing to do with her. She would never be a rebound to Cindy, she'd rather die. That, and plus because she's related to Cindy. Sophia could hear it now, if anything were to happen between her and Riley, it'd be the end of the world. Cindy would talk so bad about her like she didn't spend all her childhood making her life hell. Riley was trying to play a rather dangerous game. Getting settled in her seat, she felt Riley's stare.

"What?" Sophia asked, not looking at him. He didn't answer and turned away. What a long year this will be.

Tamera was at the police station filing a report against Caesar. Her arm was cased, as it was broken in three places. She notified Taylor and also moved forward to getting him committed. He needed to be put away before he seriously hurt someone.

"Are you sure you wish to have him arrested?" The cop asked her.

"Yes, you can arrest him once he's home from school…he can no longer be in my home." Tamera signed her request of a restraining order she filed as well. There will be consequences to his actions, and he will face them. Once she was done, the arresting officer told her they would be at the home before he got there in an unmarked car, as to not tip him off, and escort him to jail, and from there, he would be taken to a psychiatric hospital to undergo further therapy and will remain there for two years. That order was carried out by Taylor, much to Tamera's elation. As she left the station, her phone rang. She sighed at the name that showed on her phone and pressed ignore. She will have to talk to her later; she had an extremely long, painful morning. And it would just be uglier this coming afternoon.

Jazmine stared sadly at her locker, it was after school, and she would be walking home alone, again. Cindy disappeared right before school let out, and Sophia and Ming went to meet Ayanna at the park. Everything was so splintered now. Huey probably had already left with Riley.

"Hey Miss Du'bois." A deep voice called out, she turned and did her best to not frown. This guy again, Christopher Du'bois. Once he noticed she and Huey weren't talking to each other as much, he was talking to her more in class, earning the occasional glare from Huey, Jazmine didn't notice. She met him with chagrin because it was known that he was Frances' cousin. He transferred over to the school some time ago, but never made his presence known until now.

"Hey Chris."

"You lookin pretty down, looking to speak? Venting always helps."

"….No. I'm fine, I'm thinking about how much homework I have, what I bore." She lied. She didn't trust him.

"Awww, c'mon, no one looks that sad over homework. You know, just because I'm family to Frances, doesn't mean I agreed to the fuckshit."

Jazmine just looked at him, pensive.

"C'mon. Let me walk you home." He extended his hand to hers. Jazmine hesitated, should she? Why did this feel so…wrong? Would this be considered betrayal to Huey? She didn't know.

"Oh, okay, fine." She huffed, still confused. Chris smiled and proceeded to walk her home. The conversation went well, much to Jazmine's surprised. He talked about how he wasn't originally from around here, and wanted to go to college for business.

"I want to open a car detail shop. I love cars. Painting them, working on them, my uncle let me help around his shop when I was younger. It was my passion ever since."

They never did talk about the drama and that was why Jazmine didn't mind the company at all, but she knew it would have to be discussed. She knows he knew what Huey did, there's no reason why he wouldn't. She's had enough of people wanting to get back at people.

"Chris, why are you talking to me?" They were now stopped on the sidewalk, steps away from her front door. He sighed and put his hands in his pockets.

"If I must be honest, it's because I like you. I always did. But our social circles made it…hard for me to say so. I noticed Huey fell back from you so…."

Jazmine bit her lip, "Is that all there is?"

"Nah Jazz. I got nothing to do with what happened between him and my cousin. She was hot but…ain't shit to do about it now, wouldn't you say? Damage has been dealt. My cousin is toothless. It's over. Believe me." Chris shrugged.

Jazmine nodded. She felt like she was being lied to…again. Was she that naive? No, Jazmine refused to believe that this girl's cousin took it so lightly that her teeth were knocked out. She can't believe Frances told him about how Huey used her and he just….accepted it without no push back. If they're close enough to talk about that, then he's close enough to want to do something too.

In the end, Jazmine didn't buy it.

"Okay, yeah. I believe you. It's good to know you're so mature about the situation." She decided to see. She wanted to see if her intuition was right. So she will play along.

"Yeah, I mean Huey was dead ass wrong but I can't stand here and say I didn't do that a few times myself. Especially with the girl I lost my virginity to. I must admit…" he laughed lightly.

'That's not cute nor is it funny…' Jazmine thought angrily.

"But enough about that, what I really want to talk about is us. Let me take you out on a date this Saturday. Do you eat seafood?"

"Yes."

"There is a seafood joint not too far from here. I got a few dollars to spend, let me spend it on you."

Chris saw the apprehension on her face and sighed, "Look, this ain't no trap or nothing. Frances won't be in the shadows ready to cut your hair off. This is a real date. Just me and you."

Riley rolled his eyes from this dude. He was pushing up on Jazmine hard. He and Huey were hiding in the bushes listening to the whole conversation, they went to the store after school and when they came home, they saw them before they could notice the brothers. Riley looked over to his brother and he could tell Huey was red hot. He'd be foaming at the mouth if he was rabid.

"Fine." Jazmine agreed, which made Riley face back to the bushes. What was she on? She really believed this dude; Riley hoped that girl was playing with him. His lines were sounding like those highschool movie. The "oblivious" family member who swears up and down they ain't in on the beef…only to be knee deep in the shit. This was one more dig at Huey. Riley stopped Huey from standing up.

"Don't do nothing stupid, nigga." Riley whispered, "Have some tact about this. You know Jazz better than that, I'm sure she playin." That didn't stop Huey from trying to get up and from under his grip. When he don't talk, Riley knew that meant he was furious. He tried to quietly wrestle with him until Jazmine went in the house and Chris started his trek home. Riley was relieved when they left so he could finally let him go.

Huey still didn't say anything as he marched straight in the house and slammed the door behind him.

"Damn, wh-"

"RILEY!" Riley snapped his head back in the direction of the Cindy yelling his name.

"Girl, what is wrong with you yelling my name like that?" She embraced him in a tight hug.

"I FINALLY did it! I finally managed to convince Gambino to let you in on our operation!"

"Yo-how?" Riley arched an eyebrow with suspicion. Cindy shook her head and took his hand.

"Don't worry about all that, c'mon. Ed's waiting for us. And you know his crazy ass hate to wait." Cindy dragged him down the street, distracting him from the current mess he just witnessed.

"Oh hey Cindy, you need to tell Jazz to relax. She accepting dates with the enemy." That made Cindy stop in her tracks.

"Huh? Tell me on the way there, I'm listening." Riley told her the story as he walked with her to Ed's house.

Caesar sighed as he slugged up to the steps of the house. He couldn't find Ayanna. He hadn't been able to speak to her since the whole ordeal went down and he was curious to know what was on her mind. He had to admit, she surprised him, she really did. She surprised everybody. Huey hasn't said a word to him ever since that day he left his house. He did want their friendship back; he wasn't like anyone he's met. If he had to do a bit of acting, then he wouldn't mind. People were so sensitive.

"Auntie…I'm home-"Caesar frowned when he saw Tamera sitting on the couch with two police officers standing beside her. Taylor Flemming was there too, along with Grant.

"Micheal Caesar, you are under arrest for the assault of your aunt. You will be held at holding overnight, and in the morning you will be transported to Golde Heart."

"….The crazy house. Tamera are you serious? Your arm probably isn't even broken! This is just a way to get me out of here! She never wanted to help me."

"Caesar, she does want to help you, we're trying to help you. Your anger is getting out of control. Do you not see the damage your actions are causing to those around you?" Taylor tried to reason.

"You're hurting people who meant no harm to you. What happened with that young woman was deplorable. What you did to your aunt was deplorable. You need help."

Caesar began screaming and swearing as he was being handcuffed. He didn't keep up appearances in that moment. Tamera began to cry as they took him away. This was the best decision; maybe the people at the psych ward would better suit to help him. A weight felt like was being lifted off her shoulders. Grant put his hand on her shoulder.

"Are you going to be okay?"

"Yes, now that he's gone….I'm so much better. Thank you for getting him committed."

"We're sorry we didn't do it sooner. We just wanted to give him a chance to improve."

Tamera wiped her eyes and nodded, "I know. It's alright." The couple decided to stay with her and talk until they felt they could leave her alone. With the house finally quiet, Tamera went to bed that night feeling at peace.

Huey tried to sleep, but he just couldn't. He found himself tossing and turning. What if Jazmine winds up liking him? Did he mess up that bad? He's been scared to talk to her, which was also bothering him. Sitting up, he grabbed his phone off the night stand and went to call her. When her phone rang twice, he hung up.

'I'm being crazy. She's asleep.' He scolded himself. He looked at his phone when it rang; it was a number he didn't recognize. He grumbled and hit ignore, it wasn't Jazmine. When the number called again, he arched his eyebrow. He had to think, not a lot of people had his number, so maybe it was someone he knew that was calling him.

"Hello?"

"Huey, don't hang up. Listen man….I just….I just want to say I miss our friendship and I'm sorry….I know I'm probably the last person you wanted to hear from but…it's true."

Huey never heard Caesar sound so down as he was.

"Where are you? What's this number?"

"….I'm not home…and I won't be for a while….goodnight." He hung up. Huey looked at his phone sadly. He couldn't pretend he wasn't concerned about him, he sound so different just now. Huey felt like he meant his apology. He was about to go to bed when his phone rang again, this time it was Jazmine. Huey gulped, he called her and had no plan of what to say, he had better answer though.

"Hello?"

"Hey, did you mean to call?" Jazmine's voice was raspy and low, clearly sleep.

"Yeah…but I hung up, I knew you were asleep…" Huey trailed off. He heard her shuffling in the background.

"What's wrong?" she asked.

"I couldn't sleep….I've been thinking about us…what I did…." Huey pulled the covers over his head, so he wouldn't disturb Riley.

"Jazmine…can we just…work on it? If there's anything you want me to say I will…"

"Okay." She said instantly.

"So you won't go on that date?" Huey wanted to punch himself in the face, what the hell?

"How did you know I had a date?"

"…The most important thing here is that I told the truth. Jazmine I-"

"How'd you know I had a date?" Jazmine asked, almost laughing.

"I wish I could take away everything that has been going on, but I can't."

"My guy, you really ignoring question right now…"

"All I can do is tell you I'm working on my honestly, and how blunt I can be."

"I wish you would be blunt with my question."

"Jazmine, I really care about you….and we don't have to get right back together…let me start over."

"Okay, you're officially crazy. As far as my outing go, I'm not going for the reason you think. Night Huey."

"….Night Jazmine." He was honestly relieved. Well, he was relieved about her, but not about Caesar. He decided to deal with that once he wakes up, he was finally able to sleep.
