*Stephano's P.O.V.*

I awoke to the smell of dirt and rotten flesh. I lifted my head, noticing that dawn was just beginning. I shifted to stand, but a weight on my shoulder prevented me. I looked to my left to see Amber leaning on me, her head on my shoulder. She had a thick layer of dust in her hair, and her shoulders were damp with whatever had the rotten flesh smell. I wrinkled my nose at the rancid smell around her. I almost nudged her off me, almost tried to wake her. I know I should be waking her to ask about what she found about Pewdie. No, I stopped myself, she needs to sleep, that much is sure. Amber sighed in her sleep, her breath blew across my collar bone. I shivered involuntarily, but, I wasn't cold. I puzzled over the feeling.

"No Domo...my cookie." I chuckled, more sleep talking then? It seems like her dreams often have food in them.

"I want that...choco...late..eh?" I studied her face, she was actually pretty once you really look at her. I hadn't noticed before, but she had a few small freckles on her cheeks, cute. I snapped myself out of my trance, don't call her cute! I told myself, It's rude. No, not rude, it's just...don't. I looked out one of the countless windows in the room, watching dust motes dance in the first rays of sunlight to peek over the tree tops. The moment was really quite peaceful.

"Nah...Stephano?" I jumped, is she dreaming about me? I glanced down at her to see that her eyes were opening. So, she wasn't dreaming about me, there was a pang of disappointment in my chest, I ignored it. Amber sat up straighter and rubbed her eyes, groaning a little. She shook her head and glanced around the room. Her eyes finally landed on me, now becoming more lucid.

"G'morning." She smiled, stretching her arms out in front to her. I nodded and stood up, brushing off some dust.

"So what happened?" I got straight to the point. Amber nodded, standing up as well.

"He's alive, hurt, but alive. But we have bigger problems. It's Freddy."

I stared at her for a moment, she must have seen my confusion as she elaborated.

"He's from a relatively new horror game, Five Nights at Freddy's, he's an animatronic bear with a nasty habit of killing people. I've heard rumors of him targeting people who have played the game, but nothing like this."

"Wait," I interjected "what does this Freddy have to do with Pewdie? He can't be playing other games, he hasn't even played this one, he was taken by the Barrels! There's simply no way, I mean, he couldn't, it's just not possible!"

Amber looked at me in a questioning way. She opened her mouth to speak, but hesitated.

"I think you're going to want to sit down, Stephano." I knelt down, and she crossed her legs next to me.

"Amber...how long was I in that hole?"

She was silent for a long time. She bit her lower lip, her eyes searching his. Finally, after an agonizingly long time, she looked downward.

"Two."

"What? Two months? No, Pewdie would never- leave me here for two months!"

"Stephano."

"I mean, yes the Barrels do have him locked up and are probably torturing him somewhere." My breath caught after the words left my lips, the Barrels, torturing Pewdiepie!

"Stephano."

"What!" The word was harsher then I had intended, I felt a pang in my chest when Amber flinched at my tone.

"I'm sorry," I whispered, my voice suddenly gone "what?"

Amber was quiet again, this time the silence felt deafening. I swallowed dryly, and attempted to compose myself, whatever Amber has to say, I can handle it. I am a warrior, I am trained in body and mind, I am kind to my friends and hell to my enemies! I am Stephano and I can take this.

"It was two years."

It was a long time before I could even react. Two years. How was that even possible? That's how long it had been since I had seen Pewdiepie, my best friend! Two. Years. That's how long I was in that hole. Why would Pewdie let that happen? I suddenly felt empty, completely hollow inside. I tried to speak, to tell Amber she was wrong, but my words were caught in my throat, choking me. I felt hot streaks run down my cheeks and at that moment I realized I was crying. I can't cry! I am Stephano! Then why can't I stop? The tears felt like they were burning my skin and it hurt. I was crying and it hurt. Everything hurt. I felt a gentle touch on my shoulder. I lifted my head, barely noticing that I had buried my head into my chest while hugging my knees. Amber was still next to me. She was trying to hand me something.

"Here, it's chocolate. It will make you feel better." It looked like a chunk of dried mud, but I took it anyway. Nibbling the corner, it tasted sweet. Amber stayed nest to me, one hand still on my shoulder, comfortingly.

After a very long time, I felt like I could speak again. I licked my lips, they were dry. I thought of Pewdie, trying to will myself to consider a now very real possibility. But I couldn't talk about him, not yet, I wasn't ready. So I changed the subject.

"Tell me more about Freddy."

I didn't look at Amber's face, not wanting to see her expression, but I heard her words.

"Well, like I said before, he's from the horror game, Five Nights at Freddy's, he's an animatronic bear and, well, he and his friends aren't very friendly. There was a second game, but that's not much of a concern to us. What we need to find out is why he wants Pewdiepie so bad, it's not like he was... A-anyway, I should tell you what I heard last night. What happened was that Freddy's right hand rabbit, Bonnie, was here. And-"

Amber's explanation was suddenly interrupted by a loud bang at the main doors to the ballroom. We stood up and I unsheathed my sword. There was a moments pause then, BANG, the doors flew open and a monster entered.

"H-h-hey kids! Let's eat p-p-p-peoplePIZZA!"

(A.N Aaaaand it's a cliffhanger, but not much of one I'll admit. Plus it's a really short chapter. I still can't believe it took me over a year to update this. I honestly don't know if I will keep writing for it. If I do, great! If not, that's one more dead fic to add to the pile. Bye.)
