Chapter 40

It was time for switchover. Yuuki and Zero were waiting by the gates of the moon dormitory. The night class would come out any moment.

"Not too many people here today." Stated Yuuki, relieved that there were only a few girls lingering around. Inside she was tad bit excited because today the night class won't be received with an overwhelming crowd. Which means she will have the chance to properly see her crush. Perhaps exchange few words as well.

"That's because the exams are tomorrow." Came the reminder from Zero which slapped Yuuki across the face with seriousness of the situation.

"That's right! Class with the lowest average has to work backstage and if it's not finished on time they can't attend the ball..." She exclaimed, feeling every bit frightened. If she doesn't pass and their class has to work the ball; their class present, Kageyama Kasumi will eat her alive.

Zero took notice of her tone. It changed from being frightened to depressed in short time. She looked so down that he couldn't hold back from asking.

"You really wanna go huh?!"

"Not really! We have our disciplinary committee duties and plus the class president is so fussy about it. So I'm not so sure what to do..." She blurted out everything in one breath. Trying her best to put the blame on class president. But Zero was not an idiot. Plus Yuuki was always so easy to read. He clearly saw through her intention. She really wanted to go and deep down was hoping to get a dance with Kuran Kaname.

Just then the door opened and the night class came out. Today Aiyora and Senri were leading the group. The pureblood waved a hand at Yuuki's direction and flashed her a smile as she passed her. Senri just threw the prefect a bored look. Yuuki figured long time back that the younger Kuran shared a close bond with the model. Yet how they connected was a puzzle she couldn't solve. According to Yuuki— Shiki and Rima's closeness made sense, they have similar personalities. But Aiyora was different, very lively and full of herself. Yuuki expected her to be more closer to the likes of Aidou Hanabusa not Shiki Senri.

The perfect was snapped out of her thoughts as she noticed Kaname passing by. He was walking with Ichijou, just few steps behind his sister.

Ichijou was the first to notice Yuuki. She was looking at Kaname with expecting eyes while the latter had his attention on the half-siblings. The blonde nudged the brunette and signalled him towards Yuuki. As a result Kaname turned to Yuuki and flashed a small smile. But no words were exchanged. Takuma looked back and watched Yuuki's face fall.

Zero noticed the cousins— Aidou and Kain discuss about that transfer student. He too was looking out for the girl and finally noticed her at the back of the group. Maria gave him a mysterious look before making the sudden stop in front of Yuuki.

Sensing sudden tension Aiyora looked back and saw Maria trying to touch Yuuki but before she could do so Zero intervened and yanked the brunette back.

Aiyora's eyes narrowed down in worry as she couldn't understand why Maria was suddenly interested in Yuuki. But before she could ponder on that any longer Senri dragged her to class.

.

.

.

"Hey! What going on?" Demanded Yuuki.

After Zero brought her— no more like dragged her to the area where the swan-sculpture water fountain stood proud and tall.

"I told you already, stay away from that transfer student."

"I know! ...but why?!" She demanded once more. This time slightly irritated. Seriously this bossy attitude of his was getting under her nerve.

"Doesn't matter!" He snapped but then faced the water fountain and muttered the rest in a tone that could be described as desperate. "Just whatever you do... please don't get involved with her again! I beg you."

With that said he walked away. Leaving her to watch his retreating figure, confused.

Yuuki flinched at his words. Especially that last sentence. She understood his reasoning for hating vampires but now it was starting to get out of hand. He was taking things too far. He barely knew Maria yet for some reason he was choosing to act like she is his sworn enemy. He even went as far as to point his gun on her face when they first met. Even though Yuuki couldn't admit it out loud but Zero was really starting to make the headmaster's pacifist ideology difficult... as a matter of fact impossible. First it was Kaname that he couldn't stand and now it's Maria.

Seriously... what is wrong with him?!

Later that night after class, Kaname showed up at Aiyora's doorstep holding a medium sized black velvet box.

The door was answered half a minute later and the sight that greeted him, left him breathless. She was dressed in a fluffy lavender coloured bathrobe, loosely tied around the waistline. Hair completely soaked and droplets of water trickling down her throat ...to collar ...passed her chest and slid all the way down to her stomach.

Aiyora was still in the middle of her bath when the knock came suddenly. Plus the way he was knocking sounded urgent, which left her no choice but to grab the robe and rush out.

"...Yes?"

"I wanted to speak to you about something. Is it okay if I come in?"

"Now...?" She sounded hesitant and skeptical.

"It won't take long. I can wait if you want to finish your bath."

He was ready to leave but she had a change of mind. "That will actually take longer. So come on in."

As a gesture of invitation she opened the door wide and closed it behind his form once he entered. Led him to the couch and asked him to take a seat while she sat on the small wooden coffee table in front.

"So what did you wish to talk about?"

Instead of answering her question like it's normally expected, Kaname cleared his throat uncomfortably before pointing with his eyes. Aiyora looked down at her lap and blushed a deep shade of pink upon noticing that her robe has moved and revealed indecent amount of legs. Quickly she pulled the fabric over to cover them. Generally Aiyora wouldn't have bothered but considering her current situation with him it was best to have it fixed.

"Sorry about that..." she flashed him a shy smile. "...so what do you want to talk about?"

"I actually came to give you this..." he passed her the velvet box. As she opened the box he threw in the question. "...And I was hoping we could go to the ball together. If only you wish... that it."

Her throat dried down. The uneasy feeling returned. It wasn't because of the offer he just made but how he made— The box opened to reveal a big necklace made with rare diamonds. There's only one piece in the world currently existing and it costs about seven figures, close to eight. Aiyora knew all these information because she's been saving up for months from her modelling checks to buy this exact necklace. And is exactly five paycheques away from making her purchase.

The girl found herself in a difficult situation. Especially when she could feel his expecting gaze burning holes through her soul. She was determined nothing in this world could make her change her mind about the ball. She and Senri has been through hell. And she won't throw all that away for a damn necklace. However, this was no ordinary necklace! She cannot lose this either. The choice was simple yet Aiyora found herself conflicted.

Since Kaname was not pushing Aiyora decided to take her time. And after long time of thinking she finally came to a conclusion and bravely faced him.

"I will be honest, I cannot go to the ball with you. I just said yes to Ri-chan."

Her grip on the jewellery box tightened.

"However, I cannot return this necklace. I have been dreaming about it for months and saving up, in order to turn the dream into a reality."

Who said she cannot have the cake and eat it too?! This necklace was something she couldn't simply pass on. What if to seek revenge he gives it someone else?

"If you give me sometime I can pay the amount back wit—" She tried to make an offer but he cut her off without listening.

"I didn't buy the necklace to lure you into coming to the ball with me. I knew how much you wanted it and I wanted to be the one, to give it to you."

She gulped some empty air. Feeling slightly guilty for jumping into conclusions.

"Moreover, let this be the beginning of me making up to you."

"What are you making up for?" She asked securely hold the box to her chest. Acting as if it would disappear otherwise.

"Everything! Everything I have done so far. Starting from the time I gave away your birthday presents to Yuuki, to now, for pushing you so far that the only option left in your hand was to fake an incident of rape to get rid of me."

He extended a hand to caress her face. And was glad that she did not move away.

"Aiyora... I have been beyond cruel to you. Blamed you, held you accountable for something that was not your fault. It was wrong on every level. I understand you've grown and simply moved forward. But I cannot. In fact I should not! Which is why I want you to know... if you still hold a grudge against me it's fine. It will not make me upset. Instead I will take it as an encouragement and work twice as hard."

She smiled looking away from him. "I was recently told by a friend that, I am in a position where I can get you to do all the dirty work for me."

"I'm afraid you're friend is correct." He said giving a small smile. A genuine smile.

"In that case can I tell you about the sapphire earrings I have been eyeing alongside this necklace. They're almost the same colour as my eyes and available in the same store where you got this form." She added cheekily.

"It'll be here by next afternoon." Kaname assured.

"You don't even know what it looks like!" She challenged pouting.

"Why not leave that to me..." he stood up and petted her head.

"Just so you know, I made that up. No earrings like that exist."

"I'll see about that. Now go quickly finish your bath. I don't want you to catch a cold." Bending down he kissed above her head bid her goodnight.

"Goodnight onii-sama. Sorry I can't accompany you but thank you... but thank you so much for the necklace."

"Anything for you my love."

Kaname disappeared leaving Aiyora to cringe.

'My love!' Who says that anyway in this day and age. Eww!

Afterwards when Kaname returned to his room feeling dejected from being rejected, Maria and her companion showed up and asked for an audience. Seiran was prepared to send her away for now, but the sudden command from the dorm president changed it's course.

The transfer student entered his office as Maria. But just as the door closed her aura transformed, she became Shizuka.

Settled behind his desk Kaname didn't appear affected at all. However his face did not mask the amusement. He did not even have to tell the woman to drop the act. She did it on her own.

"That body... that name..." Kaname began, placing at the white Queen over the open book. "At first I was puzzled about how to respond."

"I was only trying not to embarrass you." Shizuka sneered.

"Well it was offensive. It was obvious that you were just playing around with us."

"Me play a game...? This is interesting! Tell me when did you decide to grow up and start to look at things so conscientiously? ...Then again we are both purebloods at the end of the day..."

Shizuka let out a bit of her power and the Queen slipped from under Kaname's finger. Satisfied, she then turned around and smirked looking over her shoulders.

"Perhaps the rejection has opened your brain. While turning your skin so thick at the same time. You know it's quite amusing how your one rejection has made her close all doors. But you... simply pathetic!"

She walked back to the door with her companion closely following behind. And Kaname remained unmoving from his spot. Now feeling enraged and embarrassed.

Meanwhile, Yuuki's study time with Zero paused. She suggested they take a break upon noticing how often he was touching his neck— specifically the place where he has been bitten. She grew worried and asked if he was in any kind of pain. But he assured it was just an itchy feeling, nothing to worry about. But how could Yuuki not worry...? She was trying to help him after all. Besides Zero hasn't been his usual self in a while now.

"I'll go make some coffee." She left him at the table but before she could even reach the door he caught up to her and gently he grabbed her hand from behind. Her back tightly pressed against his chest.

"Come on Zero... tell me what's wrong."

His response was his silence. Frankly he had nothing to say. All he wanted was to be close to her for sometime... before he faced that woman. He wanted to spend whatever moment that he had left just with Yuuki.

"Do you want my blood?"

Zero opened his eyes, revealing the lilac orbs. Her question not only snapped him out of the zone but also managed to stab him in the heart. Because it reminded him, of his true nature, the one that he's been trying to escape all this time.

"I think I was able to live on because you were beside me all this time..." he took a step away from her and Yuuki looked back confused.

"Zero?"

"I'm going back to my dorm now. Don't our forget lesson." He simply told her as he was walking away.

"Of course I won't. Hey thanks for tutoring me goodnight Zero."

"Goodnight." Somehow he managed to utter the word before stepping out of the main door.

But once he was gone an unsettling feeling erupted inside Yuuki.

Something is on Zero mind today. But is it just today? No, it's been since...

She remembered the night he drew his gun on the new student.

... Since Maria came.

She finally realized, Zero lied. He was not going back to his dorm. He was probably going to face Maria. Without wasting another breath Yuuki ran out of the headmaster's residence in hopes to catch Zero and hopefully knock some sense into him.

What is Maira to Zero? Why is her presence making such impact on him?

Finally! She found him. Entertaining the abandoned teacher dorm on the other side of the lake. A place that once served as the temporary residence for the vampires.

"Look what he gave me as a present to ask me out for the ball." Aiyora bragged, showing off to Senri the president she received from Kaname.

"So now you want to go to the ball with him?"

"No!" She made face. "I told him clearly I'm going with you."

"Then how come this necklace is still with you?!" He threw her a judging look.

"I may have told him I'm not returning necklace." She admitted.

"Wow! You're turning quite greedy."

"Hey! I offered to pay. It's not my problem that he refused."

"How exactly did you offer to pay? Another mouth skill or multiple hand skills?"

"Ri-chan!" She smacked him hard on the head and snatched the black velvet box from him.

"Seriously do you have no shame?! For your information I'm a dignified woman. So I offered him cash, on instalment." She spoke like businesswoman with a raised finger.

"But he turned down my offer, stating this gift has no connection to the ball blah! Blah! Blah! So it's no longer my problem. I'm looking at the bright side. I have been saving for months for this damn necklace and lucky me I got it for free. I would be stupid to not take advantage. Please tell me you agree with my ideology."

Senri opened his mouth to respond but got cut off as she suddenly exclaimed. Taking him by surprise.

"Maria?!"

"What?"

"Maria... she hurts herself. I'm going to go have a look."

She threw the box on the bed and ran out.

Leaving Senri to sigh out in frustration before following her. In all seriousness he was tired and wanted to go to bed. But from the looks of it the night was far from over.

???

Aiyora ran as fast as she could. The smell of blood led her to old moon dormitory. The place she has been visiting often, ever since her connection grew with Maria.

Nearing the area she witnessed Kaname coming out, carrying an unconscious Yuuki in his arms. She approached him to make sure her sister was alright.

"She's not hurt is she?" Aiyora asked checking for any kind of wounds on Yuuki.

"She's fine." Kaname assured. "She tried to intervene Zero's confrontation with Shizuka. However I managed to get there on time and erase her memory. Anyway why are you here?"

"I smelled Maria's blood and rushed out to check if everything was alright. Is she badly injured?" She was referring to Maria, he understood.

"Both her and Zero sustained injuries."

"Alright... you take Yuuki-nee back while I go take a look."

Kaname was about to protest against the idea. But when he saw Senri standing behind her protectively, he understood it was best to back away.

???

She peeked in through the door and saw the masked bodyguard drag Zero's unconscious body somewhere.

"Do you want to follow?" Senri whispered into her ear. Aiyora shivered at the sensation of his hot breath hitting her neck and ear.

"No!" She exclaimed crunching her face. "I'm not interested in knowing what's happening with him. He could go to hell for all I cared. I lost interest in him long time ago, when he refused my advice and decided to stay back. However, I can't help but notice the strange resemblance between two. If only that loser would take his mask off. Besides who walks around wearing a mask all day. ...unless you're that ugly or..."

"Or you have something to hide." Senri finished her sentence.

"What's a human like him got to hide?"

"If you'd ask me I'd say a lot. He's living with a vampire for God's sake Ai-chan. How often do you see that happening. Plus not to mention his resemblance to that disciplinary committee..."

"What do you mean?"

Senri shot her an 'are you kidding me' look. Before telling her, "Look carefully. They have the exact same hair, same facial structure, same type of posture."

"You're right they do. Still who cares!" Her interest left soon as it came. "Right now I have to go check up on my friend." Aiyora said slamming the door close.

"Wait for me." Senri was about to follow. But Aiyora placed a hand over his chest and requested.

"This is something I'd like to do on my own. But feel free to stay nearby incase I need some help."

He did not argue, because he understood her need for space.

???

Aiyora's heart broke when she saw Maria.

The poor girl was left in a pretty helpless state. The aristocrat was in her room, on the bed with bloody shoulder, silently whimpering and withering in pain. Her wound wasn't healing as fast as it should have. Probably because of her weak constitution. Plus Shizuka has temporarily left her body, leaving the weak girl to deal with the pain on her own.

What a selfish hag! Aiyora cursed Shizuka in her mind. She was mad at older pureblood. How could she leave Maria to clean after her bloody blunder?! ...Seriously! Well now she kind of understands why her father disliked her.

"Maria-chan...?" Aiyora softly called, tip-toeing herself inside.

"Aiyora-sama..." Maria tried to sit up to show respect. But Aiyora rushed to her side and prevented.

"Don't move it'll hurt more."

"But—"

"No but!" Aiyora lightly scolded before inquiring about the healing progress. "Would you mind showing me your wound?"

"It's healing but very slowly. I might have to be in bed for a week or perhaps more."

"You're planning to be in pain for a whole week? Are you crazy?! Maria-chan... given your condition you might not survive. Even if you do... it'll make you more weak. You've been hit by an anti vampire gun. Do you understand the seriousness of the problem?!"

"I do... unfortunately there's nothing much I can do. Once Ichiru returns I can get him to take out the bullet. Maybe it'll help a little more."

"That pet human is busy disposing off of the body. Who knows how long it will take it."

"What?! Zero's dead!" Maria exclaimed again trying to get up. Only to be pushed back by Aiyora, again. This time with an irritated face.

"It was just a phrase. Wrong phrase. ...What I meant was— waiting for that guy would be a wrong idea. How about I help you?"

The aristocrat's eyes turned wide at the offer.

"Don't worry I'm not a complete illiterate in this sector. I know what I'm about to do. So..." she asked for aristocrat's consent to proceed.

Which Maria gave with a nod of her head. Undoubtedly anything was better than the pain she was currently enduring.

The next couple minutes passed in a blur. During which Aiyora transformed one of her hand to claws, cut out flesh around the wound to pull out the bullet. After the bullet was taken out, using her energy she sealed off her wound completely healing it in the process.

.

.

.

"You look exhausted." Maria commented on Aiyora's current appearance. Now she was sitting up on the bed and the person that helped her was resting on her lap.

"Didn't think it would be so difficult. Feels like everything has been drained out of me. How are you feeling though?" Aiyora placed a hand on the place she just healed and gave it a slight press to do an analysis.

"I feel great. Thank you so much Aiyora-sama."

"I didn't do it out of the goodness of my heart Maria-chan. I simply didn't want to see my friend in pain."

"Friend...?"

"We're friends... aren't we?!"

Maria thought about it for a moment before responding.

"I would love to be your friend Aiyora-sama. Maybe we can even hangout together once Shizuka-sama fully heals me."

"Of course... I'm looking forward to it."

Next morning in the Moon Dormitory:

Aiyora was coming down the stairs when she heard someone complain out loud.

"Why is Kaname-sama visiting that girl!"

It was Ruka, hissing like a viper. Aiyora rolled her eyes. This person was all talk and zero action. She loves Kaname intensely but when it comes to seducing him... she's just awful.

"Just calm down! I'm sure he went to discuss the arrangements for the ball and not to meet with the disciplinary committee." As usual Akatsuki was playing his role and trying to calm her down rising temper.

"I know! But I can tell that he..." of course Ruka wasn't convinced.

Reaching the bottom of the stairs Aiyora noticed— Seated on the sofa with his legs crossed and shirt undone Kain Akatsuki was a sight worthy of drooling. If asked, who is the hottest guy in night class? Eyes closed Aiyora's answer would be Akatsuki. He may not have the best hair. But his physic is to die for. The height, the body, the abs. As for personality— he was the type to love fiercely and forever be loyal to his beloved. This man was everything. Ruka was a lucky girl to have caught his attention.

But only if she realized, which of course she doesn't. And that explains why she was standing in straight posture with arms crossed across her chest. Looking like those miserable wives fighting with the mistress to get the husband's attention.

Aiyora tried to picture the scenario of Kaname as the husband, Ruka his bitchy wife and Yuuki the mistress. Oh Hanabusa was also there, silently standing by the window leaning against the wall. Not participating in the conversation.

"Actually you're right Ruka senpai..." Aiyora decided to participate on Aidou's behalf once she reached the foot of the stairs. Then looking directly into the eyes of the frustrated woman she added the rest. Secretly taking delight in her misery. "He went to see her and ask her out for the ball."

"I was under the impression he might ask you."

"Oh, he did." It wasn't Aiyora plan to rub that on the woman's sore spot. She may not have a super kind heart, even so, she understood and respected others feelings. However the tone the aristocrat used, changed the pureblood's mind.

"Unfortunately I had to turn him down. So now he's asking miss disciplinary committee."

Ruka opened her mouth to say something but closed it off. The words swirling in her mind were impossible to utter, especially in front of a pureblood, no matter how bad the urges were. So instead she fisted her hands.

Meanwhile, exam was going on for the day class. Inside the classroom all students were writing. Except for one, who was just sitting— Cross Yuuki. In her defence Yuuki was trying. Using all force she tried to recall the answers but alas... couldn't recall a thing! Not even a word of what she studied last night.

When the final bell rang, most students sighed in relief. But Yuuki still remained lost. She couldn't shake away the strange feeling.

Yuuki and Yori walked out of the classroom room together. To celebrate the end of exams Yori suggested they spend the afternoon hanging out in the cafe but seeing Yuuki's current condition she changed her mind and advised her friend to return to her room to rest. Yuuki was about to agree with Yori when the girls around them suddenly squealed at the incoming night class president and the vice president.

"Good afternoon Yuuki."

"Kaname-sempai!"

"I would like to have a word with you, shall go somewhere less crowded?"

"Sure..."

.

.

.

To get away from the crowd they moved towards the cafeteria. Takuma stood at a distance, acting as the guard to keep fangirls away and to some extent keep them distracted.

"Is something wrong? I mean look at the time." Yuuki asked, breaking the awkward silence.

"I wanted to discuss the ball with you."

"Oh, Okay..." she tried not to get her hopes up. Even though her heart already skipped a few beats.

"I'll see you there, won't I?" He asked plainly.

"Yes, I've been asked to patrol the ballroom..." Yuuki scratched her head feeling all the more nervous.

"That's not what I meant." He clarified.

She looked away as she felt butterflies in her stomach.

"B-but I don't have something to wear." She began with a stutter. "And I have my duties to attend so..."

"When we were kids we used to dance together all the time." Kaname reminded.

"Y-yes... that right. I was always so bad at it and you would try to guide me." A deeper shade of pink tinted her cheeks as she recalled those beautiful memories.

"And you would charge blindly ahead. I wanted to be at your side all the time, to protect you. I did not want to see you get hurt."

"Kaname-sempai..." Yuuki was confused by his words. That was when he petted her head and assured.

"Don't worry... everything will be alright." Yuuki gaze turned confused. Before she could ask what he meant by that Takuma called.

"Kaname, we should get going now."

"Alright..." He agreed. Then placing a hand on Yuuki's shoulder bid her farewell. "Well then, I'll see you at the ball."

"Yes."

As Kaname walked away Takuma too bid her farewell. "See you later Yuuki..."

Just like Kaname, he was also observing the girl to see whether she has any recollection of last evening. However she showed no such signs.

"It seems like she doesn't remember anything." The blonde thought out loud.

"Somethings are better forgotten." The brunette responded, walking past the blonde.

Yuuki was walking back to her dorm when she suddenly noticed a cat nuzzling against her foot. Out of sheer concern, she picked up the feline and inquired.

"What's wrong? Did you get lost somehow?"

"You're so cold... aren't you Yuuki-san."

Yuuki turned following the direction of the voice and noticed the approaching vampire.

"Maria-san...?" She was going to ask the vampire why she was outside, but Maria gave her no room to talk.

"How could you have forgotten that boy? When he clearly thinks about you so much..."

"That boy?" Yuuki mind clouded. Who was she talking about?

Maria smirked before dropping another hint. "Wherever you go, he's always by your side."

"Do you mean Zero?"

Maria narrowed her eyes and the cat Yuuki was holding, scratched her and jumped off. To her horror, Yuuki noticed her finger bleeding! That too in the presence of a vampire.

And then, out of the blue events from last night started to come back one after another. She remembered everything, staring from Zero tutoring her... His confrontation with Maria... even the fact that she tried to intervene... but that was when it all went black.

I remember everything! But why had I forgotten?! How?

Now that her task was done, Maria made an about turn.

But...

"Hold on!" Yuuki chased after the vampire and grabbed hold of her wrist. "Maria-san, what did you do... to Zero?"

The vampire pulled her wrist free and assured, "He's going to be alright... for the time being."

Then turned around and took a step closer. Cupped the human's confused face and spilled the rest of the beans.

"But sooner or later he will turn into a level-E. And when that happens he won't listen to you anymore. However, if you're interested there is a way to save him. In exchange I want you to do something, that only you can accomplish. ...So tell me are you interested?"

"As long as you promise to save Zero. I will do anything." Yuuki confirmed.

"Well then... I'll give you two choices. You can either offer yourself to me or bring me Kuran Kaname's corpse."

"What?!" Yuuki exclaimed. The determination she had on her face earlier, disappeared. "I cannot kill Kaname-sempai."

Maria smiled. She already knew this was going to be Yuuki's response. Well it was a good thing that she already changed her plan ahead and Kuran Kaname was no longer her target... for now.

"True... it is impossible for you to kill him. Silly me what was I thinking. Alright let's make it fair and easier... bring me Kuran Aiyora's corpse."

"Why do you want her dead? What did Aiyora-chan even do to you? She's so innocent—"

"Kuran Aiyora is anything but innocent."

"It's not right! You're being too cruel."

"You misunderstood me Yuuki-san. I'm actually looking out for you. You love Kuran Kaname, don't you...?"

Immediately the girl in question blushed. "Even so, that doesn't mean I want Aiyora-chan dead."

"What if I tell you that despite living in a different world you still have a chance with him."

"I don't understand..."

"However, it will only be possible if Kuran Aiyora is dead!"

"What are you saying?!" Yuuki exclaimed yet again, this time her hands turned to fist.

"Be grateful I presented you a golden opportunity. It's like killing two birds with one stone— on one hand Zero will not fall into level-E and on the other hand you and the vampire you love so much will forever be united."

Yuuki became silent. Those words put her in deep thought. Maria knew her arrow hit the bullseye. Everything has been set into motion... now all that remains is for the action to take place.

"Take your time and think about it. But don't take too long... After all, that boy doesn't have much time in hand."

A.N: Here's another update, my version of episode 10. As you have noticed I changed the deal between Yuuki and Maria. Reason being... Shizuka is no fool she is aware of all the drama going on in the moon dormitory. (Kaname-Aiyora-Senri drama)

So... what do you guys think, will Yuuki be able to at least attempt something? Yes... No...

That's all for now. Hope you all enjoyed. Happy Holidays. Take care. Hope to see you all in next update. More importantly hope everyone is safe and indoors.

Oh if you find any errors or mistake, feel free to point out.
