AN:/ Sorry guys, these chapters are really short and the reason for this is i'm used to writing like... 300-ish words per reply thanks to the lovely format of Tumblr rp haha, anything 1000+ is a stretch so they'll probably continue to be around this length, this is also due to the fact that i'm writing them all in like one day, time management when you're a full time worker is difficult yo, it's difficult.

Chapter 6

Getting to the aquarium was… difficult, Roxanne wouldn't argue that point, there were enemies everywhere, swarming the city members of various villainous leagues, those backwards 'superheroes' Garth had once joined with his brother, it was hard, to veil oneself from the sight of a telepath such as Esper. It took a knowledge of psychics that she was glad she had from experience of being one, to evade their sight.

It wasn't exactly dignified how she managed what she did however, ducking down into the sewers rather than taking to the streets she followed the call of the water, the largest quantity of it called out the strongest and she knew that to be the aquarium. The Ocean was just too far away to gather into a storm of attack power, so for now she had to be incredibly apologetic to the aquatic life at the aquarium and take as much as she could while still leaving them just enough to survive within. She'd do her best to put it right back when they were finished but until then, they just had to deal; hopefully the staff would keep them hydrated while she improvised.

After ducking several small timers once she emerged from the pipes beneath the city, Aqua Lass activated her flight ring, she hurried into the building to grab what usable water she could find and get out of there in time to actually be of some assistance. She did not expect to be fighting this soon into her return but alas, Legion life, she loved it really, even in situations like this, she felt like her life meant something doing this.

Once she actually had what she needed, close enough to control the liquid within the aquarium, she pulled it out, lifting the water from empty breeding tanks, show tanks, emptying everything she could doing her best to not bother the life within the occupied tanks, she was an aquatic being herself, she wouldn't like someone stealing her water!

It just so happened at that same moment however, the other legionnaires returned from the 41st century to the chaos that'd befallen the Legion HQ, rushing to the wreckage to find Phantom Girl beneath the rubble, in that same moment they realised Imperiex had systematically destroyed everything and then went on to release several of the worst criminals in the galaxy to continue destroying everything. All they could do was join the others in the fight and it was a rush to do that but having Phantom Girl in fighting shape meant she could at least get them to where she knew the others to be, Saturn Girl had put out a psychic message throughout the standing legionnaires to meet in the square, fight if they could, get civilians out of the way if they couldn't.

With water in her grasp, and lots of it, Aqua Lass ploughed through the streets, sweeping small time criminals off their feet towards the square, purposefully allowing them to hit every wall on the way there while shrouding herself in a veil of water to protect herself, it wouldn't stop everything but it'd prove to be a decent barrier should anything make an attempt and that's all she needed. By the time she arrived her little pile of dripping wet criminals were beaten, broken and mostly unconscious and she had barely needed to lift a finger.

"Aqua Lass, trap them!" She recognised the voice, instantly zeroing in on Lightning lad hovering above the chaos, doing his best to pick off criminals one by one with lightning from above but lightning only really struck once, sure it did some serious damage to the human body, but it was quick, and most of the villains there could really take a hit.

"Where the HELL have you guys been?!" Was her immediate response, not hesitating to do as instructed while she questioned, the sway of her arms calling in a large swell of water to sweep around the square, weaving around the legionnaires to pull the criminals into the centre of a large rapidly growing whirlpool

"41st century! We'll explain after we deal with this everyone get out of the way!" He waited for just one single moment, enough for phantom girl to grab Timberwolf and Brainiac 5 and pull them down through the ground, away from what would likely be a frying, enough time for Chameleon Boy to shift into what could only be described as a pterodactyl, grab a downed Saturn Girl and Matter Eater lad, and carry them to the sky, enough time for a slightly less tri-coloured Triplicate Girl to grab Bouncing boy and follow Cham into the air via flight ring, and just enough time for Cosmic Boy to get Colossal boy out of there.

It was also just enough time for a few of those pesky little villains to slip through the whirling tides as they closed in, trapping a small number of what was left, but those trapped received one hell of a shock when lightning rained down upon the watery prison that'd trapped them, coursing through the liquid leaving them nothing but a twitching, dripping wet mess once the water relaxed it's torrent, some still sparking… just a little bit. She didn't even have time to retort because he was off, chasing those few that'd escaped the whirlpool but before she could even think about joining them a large bubble of dark energy enveloped them, whisking them away to parts unknown leaving the city quiet once more.

In a state of extreme instability, but quiet.

She barely even noticed the superman look alike floating above it all, glaring at the space the villains had once been like they'd personally offended him by merely existing, barely… she'd have even mentioned it had a hand not fallen upon her shoulder, causing an extremely girlish squeak to leave her lips in surprise, water zipping up to form tiny liquid daggers as protection before immediately splashing back down to the floor once she saw who it was. Amused purple optics staring back at her leaving her momentarily flustered at her outburst, cheeks darkening just a smidge, but not nearly enough to be noticeable to the untrained eye.

"I see you haven't completely lost your touch" at least he'd had the forethought to avoid the fin as it swung around in her attempt to see who'd touched her "I'm glad you weren't hurt in the attack, when Phantom Girl was the only one we could find at the tower we kind of hoped others had escaped" they hadn't had time to really check the rubble but… no doubt they'd be going back to go through it, he was just… lowkey hoping she wouldn't be under it all, he couldn't get her back only to have her hospitalized immediately, especially during a crisis like this when he wouldn't be able to visit. Not that he'd… admit that out loud…

"Saturn girl… she got me out of there" after a very illuminating conversation which really didn't help keep her mind clear now she had the very subject of that conversation still touching her shoulder. Ah… there we go, hand removed, awesome. She could breath now, thanks. "I couldn't help much though, I had to find water and the tank in my room just wasn't enough after everything exploded" most of it had vanished through the cracks in the walls, only the water that'd soaked into the carpets had been close enough for her to manipulate, she'd needed more. "Speaking of which… I should probably get all this back to the aquarium, do you… uh… wanna come with me? I mean… there's still lots to clean up yeah but I'd feel more comfortable with someone going with me" just in case there were any… villains she missed. Not that she couldn't deal with those herself but company in the form of her favourite android wouldn't go amiss.

"I'll help you with the Aquarium, but after that we'll have to head to the hospital to go over what happened, on the plus side, you're no longer the hot subject of the day" he motioned upwards with a single finger, where lo and behold that Superman look alike still seemed to be watching over everything, a seemingly permanent scowl etched onto his face. "That is our visitor from earlier, future stuff, it'll be explained at the hospital" and to him, that was enough of an explanation for now, so she'd just have to accept that until they got to the hospital to have a full briefing. With a quick explanation to Lightning Lad about how they'd meet them at the Hospital, needing to get the water back to where it belonged

It took only moments to get the water back to the aquarium anyway, a lot quicker than it was to get with all the criminals running rampant in the city, with them gone it was just a case of moving the water back in a straight shot to the Aquarium, Brainiac 5 helping to filter any of the nasty stuff out of it to allow it to return to the tanks and still be used for the life within them. Aqua Lass was absolutely positive she'd brought back more than she'd actually taken but was all completely filtered and cleaned out and returned to where it belonged, she'd have to find a way to carry something on her for attack purposes though, maybe a flask. That thought was to be decided upon later however, as right now they were required to reconvene in the hospital where several of their members were being airlifted in for immediate treatment.

Now… really didn't seem like the time to talk to him anymore either, maybe once the dust settled and everything returned to normal they could talk but right now, with so many injured and so much more going on, she'd put it on the back-burner. They had plenty of time… plenty of it, for now they had injured members to worry about and a new legion HQ to build, not to mention figuring out whatever the hell happened to Takron Galtos.
