My name is Uzumaki Mitsuki and I am 23 years old. My hobbies are dancing, singing, drawing, baking and enjoying life.
I was sitting in a limousine. Looking around to get to know the way around this huge city. Where I am? Tokyo, Japan. What I was doing here? I am actually not so sure about that.

2 months earlier.

"I am home!" I yelled while I was standing in the hall looking up the stairs.

My mom came down, "How was your day?"

We sat down.

"Mom, there is this stories doing it's rounds around the school. It's about a girl and I am 99,9% sure it's about me."

My mom looked surprised.

"It's about a girl who is at our school and she apparently is living with a family who took her in when her parents were in some kind of trouble."

I looked anticipating at my mom.

Mom sighed, "And why is it that you are so sure it's about you? Just because you hear some story doesn't mean it's about you."

I looked at my mom with an irritated look, "I am so sure because they are saying another thing about her, apparently she is said to be a so called twin sister of someone she doesn't look like at all, she doesn't look like any of her siblings. They say this girl is Japanese and came living in this country when she was 4 years old, mom she is born in 1992. The reason why I think it is me is because I have certain memories that are misplaced and none of you are in them."

Mom looked at me, "Fine, yes it's about you. But I bet the story you hear at school is 1% of the true story if not less. You were born as Mitsuki, in Tokyo Japan. Your dad is half English half Japanese and your mom is fully Japanese. Your dad and I met at university. We kept contact while I had kids and they had you. In 1996 there was some trouble that your family got caught up in and to make sure you were protected they sent you to live with us for a while. The fact is after that we lost contact with your parents made us unable to get back into contact with them. So we took care of you until you were old and wise enough to understand the situation. We tried telling you but it was hard to explain the situation. You seemed so happy, we didn't want to take that away from you. Since you started to study you were so busy that we never got the chance to sit down and talk about it."

"I want to get in contact with them." Mom looked surprised.

"It's not that I am unhappy, I just want to know about my family and I feel the need to meet them. You know I always wanted to go to Japan so maybe one of my dreams can finally be realized."

"Okay, let's give it a try."

Shortly after that I went on the net and searched for my family. I learned a lot about my family and the things they had to go through.

I changed too, not only due the fact that my family went through so much and I went through some of the things too but also physically.
You know those series where people change physically with a press on a button? It was a bit like that but not completely, I stayed the way I changed and couldn't change back.
I got long black hair instead of my short red dyed hair, my eyes became bright blue instead of my grey-ish eyes, my skin got less pale, my eyes became double lid instead of my standard western-ish eyes and my voice sounded less nasal. I also went smaller, from my 168 cm to a mere 148 cm, I lost 20 centimetres of my length and people were making jokes about it too. I was cuter, prettier and it was like a spell was lifted.
I embraced the change, not that I was that insecure before. It was just that I felt better in my skin after the change, I didn't feel like I was living in the wrong body anymore.

Soon after the change I got in contact with a relative of my family, she told me my family had given up the search for me years ago due some drastic changes in their lives. It upset me they didn't look for me but I asked for my families information anyway.

I was feeling really awkward, people kept staring at me. I didn't think I was looking that suspicious, I just didn't feel much at ease because I didn't know what was going to happen.
I was waiting in the train station. I had had an email asking if I was available today and if I minded picking up the person who was coming my way. I didn't know who I was waiting for and I also wasn't informed on what train the person was.

I kept looking on my watch to see what time it was and kept looking around wondering who the person was who I was meeting.
Someone ticked on my shoulder, I turned around to look who was standing behind me. There was a young boy standing, with black hair and brown green-ish eyes. He smiled brightly.

"Sorry, did I scare you?"

I shook my head.

"Ah, great. My name is Oruno, you are on a first name basis here in this country right? Hmm.. Well anyways, I am hungry, can I get something to eat here?"

I nodded and I just walked to the Star coffee shop where they sell not only coffee but other drinks and food as well. They have the most delicious muffins there. We ordered something and sat down on the nearest pair of chairs.
We talked a while, or Oruno talked mostly and I simply nodded or shook my head at times needed.
He explained why he was sent to come and meet me and he talked about my family. How they had been searching for me years ago but that they lost a great amount of money and then had to make some rapid changes. Not long after that my mom got pregnant and soon after that they quit searching for me.
It was hard for me to fully understand the situation since I had not been in it, nor did I fully understand why they quit searching but Oruno couldn't explain it better than he did. So I quit asking for more.
In between our conversation he suddenly mentioned he had to go in an hour or so because he had to catch a flight.
He told me about my family tree and a bit about everyone's personality.

He then broke up our conversation with the information he had to leave right away.
So we stood up, grabbed our stuff and walked towards the train.

"Thank you for coming."

He smiled.

"No problem, I had a fun time. Oh, before I forget." He took something out of his back.
"Use this ticket, over 3 weeks the flight will take you Tokyo. And here use this for sending your stuff to our place."

Before I could ask anything Oruno stepped into the train. The conductor blew his whistle.

"Who are you?"

He grinned, "I am one of the people who work for your parents."

Right after that the door closed.
I kept staying there minutes after the train disappeared in the distance, dumbfounded.

I was packing my stuff. 'So, I am going "home". It was three weeks after I met Oruno and the time had flown.
I felt sad. I had to leave so many precious people behind. I knew I would go and meet my family, yet I felt quite lonely. I was going on this journey alone and the chance I would be back soon was very small. Most of my stuff would be sent to Japan once I was able to give them my address.

Sunset had come. Stuff packed, car ready to go. I asked my friends to come, so we could say goodbye. Some had already said goodbye. It was killing me to say goodbye and I think my friends felt the same. I looked up to the faces of my family and friends.
I felt the tears burning in my eyes. I tried to blink them away.

"I love you guys." I couldn't help but smile.

"I am sorry I am leaving you guys, but I want to be with them.. With my real family. I do see you as my family, each of you. But.. I can't go on not knowing who they are. I am going to miss you guys."

I kept thinking no tears no tears.

We said our goodbyes and I stepped into the car.
I made the window go down.

"Bye everyone!"

I kept waving out of the window until we went passed the corner and all my family and friends turned into vague dots in the distance.
